Heart To Heart: Book Two in the Angelica Brown Series is a young adult paranormal romance. It continues the story of the coming of age of Boston teen, Angelica Brown as she makes hard choices about the type of life she wants to live and what kind of person she will be.

Summary:

When her immortal mom falls into a death-like sleep, 16-year-old up-and-coming pop star Angelica Brown is forced to come of age on her own without the support and protection of her powerful parents.

In this sequel to Blood To Blood, Angel has mastered her epic singing voice—a virtual weapon with the power to literally kill every living thing and destroy any object within earshot. Still, as a newly matured Shimshana, she suffers an all-consuming blood lust and wrestles daily with urges to attack the mortals around her. She breaks up with her boyfriend—18-year-old music producer Sawyer Creed—and loses the nurturing friendship of her BFFs. But after an unexpected reunion with her immortal blood donor Justin McCarthy, their previously shelved passion is re-ignited—and in the wake of its scorching intensity Angel breaks the love triangle and finally discovers the depths of true love.

Heart To Heart Book Cover Reveal

It’s been a busy, busy year and finally my next novel is ready to go. Welcome to the Heart To Heart book cover reveal!

Heart To Heart is the sequel to Blood To Blood and volume 2 in the Angelica Brown Series. The paranormal romance sees Angel Brown dealing with some serious coming of age stuff while caught up in the midst of a love triangle with… I’ll let you figure that out, but if you’ve already read Blood To Blood you’d have a good idea.

We’re so excited about the cover we decided to make a puzzle out of it. Check it out below and see if you can put it together. It’s intermediate level so you could get a challenge. I absolutely love the cover and hope you do, too. Have fun! P.S. the image appears below the puzzle just in case you get stuck. 😉

Stay tuned… soon Heart To Heart will be available for pre-order on Amazon. You’ll have a chance to purchase the digital edition before your friends and before the paperback even comes out. Heart To Heart will be officially released in November 2014. In the meantime, here’s a quote to go with the puzzle:

“He loomed above me, despite my heels. I looked up, and it was over. Our eyes locked as everything—the crowd, the music, the room, my very breath—melted away. ” – Angel Brown

Octavian Nothing – M.T. Anderson

On Day Three of the #WeNeedDiverseBooks campaign, the discussion surrounding diversity in children and YA literature perseveres.

STUFF hit the fan after BookCon announced its completely white line-up of authors (and one cat who is white, too). #WeNeedDiverseBooks, a campaign slated to run for three days (May 1-3), called out the lack of diversity in children’s literature, went viral and saw people from all over the ‘net posting selfies and compelling reasons as to why we need diverse books. In the wake of this outcry BookCon changed, and is still in the process of changing, its lineup.

The squeakiest wheel gets the oil. Nevertheless, the best result of this campaign has been the discovery of books and authors by people who otherwise might have never heard of them. And the power of social media platforms such as Tumblr and Twitter has served as a gathering place of millions of like minds. Here are a few of my faves:

Today is the third and final day of the campaign and the theme is #diversifyyourshelf. Take a picture of a book you’ve bought or read that can be classified as a diverse book and post it for the world to see on your favorite social media platform. Check out my Twitter feed to see what I’ve posted and say hello!
